Recently we sat down with our Sales Managers to cover off on some of the most common questions they’re asked by prospective residents and their families about life at Seasons.

Our Sales team consists of four Sales Managers, Cheryl at Mango Hill (with our Mango Hill Stage 2 apartments opening soon), Sue at Sinnamon Park and Waterford West, Lisa at Kallangur and Bribie Island and Deb at Caloundra.

The below responses are in ‘normal’ circumstances.  Please note, given current COVID-19 measures, Seasons isn’t able to allow visitors the way we normally would nor are we able to go on social outings.

 

Question: Can I bring my dog with me?

We understand that your dog and other pets are part of your family and we will do whatever we can to make you and your pet feel comfortable and part of the community lifestyle.  All our communities are pet-friendly, and we welcome most dogs, cats, fish and birds, subject to an approval process. Several of our communities – including Caloundra and Kallangur – have designated off-leash areas for you to take your furry friend to have a run around and interact with other pets.

 

Question: Can my friends and family visit and stay with me?

At Seasons we welcome your family and friends any time and encourage them to visit. Your guests are welcome to stay with you in your apartment and can even enjoy a meal with you from our fabulous menu, you just need to provide notice to our kitchen team.

Your guests can also enjoy our facilities with you, including our barbeque areas and gardens as well as our community facilities like our theatre and activities centres. Seasons is your home and we want you and your family to feel welcome and comfortable. While our residents do have guests stay over in their apartment, there are some limits on length of stay so please speak with your Sales Manager for more information about your community.

 

Question: What activities and bus trips are available?

Our communities all have a vibrant social calendar with a range of activities, as well as regular bus outings. Be sure to ask for a copy of our lifestyle calendar for the community you are interested in to see examples of the types of outings and activities our residents are involved in.

At Kallangur for example, it doesn’t matter if you’re interested in playing bingo, watching movies, knitting for charity, or being part of our craft group, we’ve got an activity to suit you. Many of our communities have cinemas, libraries, computer rooms and games rooms to keep our residents entertained and able to choose whatever activity suits them.

Our community bus can take you to the shopping centre twice a week, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays we have social bus outings where we go out for morning tea or on a day trip.

We have a social afternoon on Tuesday where our residents meet for coffee at Murphy’s Bar and on a Friday, we have happy hour, which is a great time for a social drink.

What’s wonderful about our Seasons communities is the array of outdoor and indoor areas suitable for having your friends and family over for a get together or special celebration. At many of our communities, we have a great outdoor BBQ area – perfect for that next family birthday.

 

Question: What GP and allied health services are available?

Each of our communities are slightly different in terms of how often and what health services are available, so it’s always best to speak with the Sales Manager of the community you are interested in.

At Mango Hill, we have three GPs that visit on a regular basis who our residents can make an appointment with, and a local pharmacy does deliveries every week day. We also have visiting

podiatrists, physiologists, physiotherapists, hearing specialists, optometrists and even a dentist. If there are other allied health services required by a resident, we work with each person individually on what they require and how we can best help.

 

Question: Do you have an Aged Care Facility onsite?

At Seasons, we are passionate about empowering seniors to age on their terms and pride ourselves on our unique model. Whilst we are a retirement village and do not have a separate aged care facility onsite, we are unique in the fact that we can provide you or your loved one any care they require in their own self-contained apartment. Couples can stay together regardless of care needs and we offer personalised care and support from low to high care, including dementia care and end-of-life palliative care, meaning you’ll never need to move again.

 

Question: Is there a kitchen in your apartments?

Yes, all 1, 2- & 3-bedroom apartments have a fully self-contained kitchen. In saying this, all Seasons communities have a qualified Chef and kitchen team to provide you with all of your meals, prepared fresh onsite daily.
