In the lead up to Mother’s Day, we asked four-generations of one family to talk about what their mums mean to them.

Family matriarch and Seasons Waterford West resident Patricia, aged 83, her daughter Debby, her daughter Becky and her two daughters Sadie and Delilah talked about their mums and how they celebrate Mother’s Day in a moving video.

From the youngest of the family, right up to great-grandmother Patricia, each share their memories of their mum and the qualities that make her so special, giving an insight into motherhood and love throughout the generations.

“We have a lot of strong women in our family, we’re all very opinionated, even the girls, so trying to work all that together can be challenging but it can be very rewarding as well,” says Becky.

Debby says that while Mother’s Day is a special day of reflection, any time they can all catch up is Mother’s Day to them.

“As my girls have had families, we don’t always celebrate Mother’s Day on Mother’s Day, we celebrate it when we can all be together because Mother’s Day isn’t just one day, it’s a lot of days – 365 days a year,” says Debby.
